Tomoshi takes its name from the Japanese word for light — and the name suits it well. Designed by Oki Sato of Nendo, it is a portable lamp that moves with you: placed on a surface, hooked over a shelf edge, or carried from room to room. As Sato describes it, Tomoshi ‘evokes a sense of nostalgia and familiarity, while at the same time bringing freshness to our daily lives.’

The lamp emits a soft, glare-free glow that pools light downward and adds warmth to its surroundings. The Dim2Warm LED shifts from 2700K at full brightness to 2000K at its lowest — a candlelight quality that makes it particularly well suited to bedside or dining use. Dimming is controlled via a tactile switch on the body, with both stepless and four-step options, and a light level lock function. Battery life runs to 5.5 hours at full intensity.

Built from recycled polymer with a genuine leather retractable strap and polymer diffuser, Tomoshi is designed for longevity. The LED light source is replaceable, and the product is fully disassemblable for reuse. Supplied with a USB-C cable; adapter not included — compatible with any standard USB adapter (min. 1.5A).
